So Cristiano Ronaldo hobbles off to Los Angeles for the ESPY Awards, and what's the first thing he gets asked on the red carpet? When he might move there and play for the Galaxy.
Sure, buddy. A guy who gets paid $240,000 a week and calls himself a slave will play in a second-rate league that gives players $5,300 bonuses for winning a million-dollar tournament and spend his free nights dodging Paris Hilton. Sounds like heaven compared to Madrid -- not that Manchester United will let him move there, either. So says Sir Alex Ferguson, anyway.
I suppose expecting a red carpet interviewer to know these things is probably asking too much. Dude probably doesn't even know that Ronaldo dumped his girlfriend last week. Then again, neither does she.

Dude, relax. No one in their right mind took this interview seriously, well apparently you did. 5 years ago, no one thought a star like Beckham would ever play for the MLS...after being in "heavenly Madrid" Beckham did decide to come play for an organization that bent over backwards for him after his best years were past him. Once Ronaldo has peaked, he will capitalize on his past glory and stardom for millions in L.A. If you understood the interview correctly, Ronaldo is not going to burn his bridges with U.S. GM's and pass up on millions for what would be years he would undoubtedly spend in retirement, for pride and an elitist mentality such as yours. Hes too smart for that and you, well...not so much for not understanding Ronaldo's business mindset.
Yours Truly,

Yeah, I'm not surprised by the shallow LA guy saying "come play in LA, the girls love you." It's funny because you can tell he knows nothing about football (yes football, the real football!) and that players really care about the game and fans are true fans and the sport is a part of life. I'm really glad that Cristiano answered by saying he prefers Europe. I really hope that Cristiano never stoops to Beckhams level and decides to sell out and play in LA. Stay in Europe!!

To you Manuel Castro, I have two theories, or you are a freaking moron, have the down sind. or you just dont know about soccer or you are just another mexican born in the states that knows XHIT!!
Yes because if you follow football, you probably know that worst player ever, I meant david Beckham, brought a course to second best football team in the history, Real Madrid, yes after my Juve ;)
Anyway, this ahole, corrupted the lockers room to bring the fake cosmopolitan celebrity lifestyle. But not wonder he came from the Premier where even my cousin, who doesn't know how to play if the media likes him, they will make him the new Pele.
So because of this guy, Madrid stopped wining tittle after tittle, league after league for four long years. He was so dumb that Spanish media call him Forrest Gump, yes a stupid guy that doesnt know how to dribble, tackle, defend, or score, the only think he can do is doing long passes and free kicks other than that pretty useless, from 1 to 10 he is in a level 4. But i bet the good luck and having Simmon's marketing and PR agency behind him, that will open the public spot big time.
So dont even compare Cristiano, who is one of the best player, not yet the best in the world, because RObinho, DIego, KAKA, Aguero and MESSI are way better than him. He is a level 8.5 as David Villa.
You think he will come in a league that is follow just for stupid kids than the only thing they know about soccer is the premier and FIFA the video games and whorish soccer's mom? Come on give me a break. Beckham came to this looser league, because Real Madrid didn't want to extend his contract, and second because he was useless in the most competitive level, if you don't believe me, ask any English hooligan and they will tell you that he is the main reason why their national team didn't go to the Euro Cup.
You kid should start looking to get gol tv and fox soccer channel, to watch the best leagues, LA LIGA and THE CALCIO.
Not just your MLS and Premier.

If your comment and your "theories," you big soccer philosopher were much more coherent and actually made sense then I would actually spend time in response to your non-sense...but like any other ignorant person you sit there calling me a "Mexican" because of my name vomiting words metaphorically speaking, and making a complete fool of yourself reverting to cussing and a response full of opinions and no real soccer insight.
So if a moron I am to you, thats just fine with me... I will continue in letting you think that David Beckham
" brought a course to second best football team in the history" and all the rest of the other stuff you said...great insight buddy.
You must have gone to that other school across town from where I just graduated from, where people speak and write very eloquently and have lots to say.
get a life or at least an education so that you can at least give us people with an education something to ponder about, take care.
