FA Cup champions Portsmouth were granted permission to build their new £15 million training facility in Gosport, which will house the club's first team and its academy, on one condition -- they must look after the badgers.


As it turned out, the club couldn't build the facility until it promised to protect the wildlife in the surrounding area. So Pompey instantly has itself a new mascot.
